ScottPharma has contracted with Modern Pest of Brunswick, ME to manage our pest control program.
They visit our facility at a minimum of once per month to monitor and control insects, rodents, and
birds. They accomplish this using non-toxic glue board stations, Ketch-All traps, insect zone monitors
and exterior bait stations. All stations are dated at the time of placement and noted on the equipment
placement log.
Chemical insecticides are not used inside our warehouse facility. Exterior crawling insects are
controlled with non-residual chemicals, only if necessary, to prevent entry into the building.
Modern Pest generates inspection reports for each visit which are kept on file at our facility and are an
integral part of our ISO 9001 Auditing Program.
In addition to our outside pest control services, ScottPharma adheres to strict in-house pest control
and prevention procedures including:
- all doors and windows are kept shut and/or screened and well-sealed
- good housekeeping practices are maintained to minimize debris
- interior premises are routinely inspected for structural deficiencies
- exterior premises are inspected regularly and kept free of weeds, brush and debris which
might harbor rodents - incoming product is routinely inspected for any signs of pest activity or contamination
It is our intention to maintain the highest level of sanitation possible to ensure the integrity of the
products we provide.
